Hiked to one of the peaks of the ‘Gruppo de Sella’, Cima Pisciadu (2985m), with much of the time spent above the tree line. The austere environment is what I imagine the moon to look like.

‘Alm’ is an alpine meadow where cows and sheep graze during the summer months. The Seiser Alm is the largest high-elevation Alpine meadow in Europe and offers stunning views (and easy skiing in winter) of the Dolomite mountains (covered by clouds today, unfortunately).

First full day in the Dolomites (Val Gardena) and it rains. Great time for some black&white shots! These were taken at the top of the Seceda Ridgeline.

Is what I was trying to capture with this image of the Chancellery in Berlin.

I used a few of the latest AI editing options in Lightroom to edit a few pictures from past photo shoots, which at the time didn’t pass muster to make it onto my photo blog:

19 of thousands of windmills dominating the rural landscape north of Berlin.

Spent a weekend in Berlin visiting family, but also walked around a lot.

Captured on a recent trip to New York City:

The Oculus in the Financial District — part sculpture, part subway entrance, part mall.
Captured this banker on the Sunday afternoon train to Grand Central Terminal, on his way back to his job on Wall Street. So NY/CT!

Captured while walking our dog.

Captured out my window in Madison, CT. Hello new night sky, I’ve arrived!

You’ve seen the ads: gorgeously filmed imagery that’s sharp, beautifully lit, and expertly composed. And somewhere along the way they proudly proclaim ‘Shot with iPhone.’
What they don’t show is that to get that type of shots, you need a whole lot more than just a phone, as this picture demonstrates.

So if you’re an aspiring photographer frustrated by the fact that your shots don’t quite turn out like those used in TV ads, don’t despair – in this case it really IS a matter of having better equipment.
Captured from my hotel window during a business trip to Las Vegas.

A quick business trip to Indiana allowed for lunch at Speedway, home of the Indy 500. Half a mile away from the glitzy track is a land that time forgot.

Captured on my kitchen window:

Looking forward to this being a more inviting scene. Our local pool has been closed since the summer of 2019.

Captured this fall. It was the last tree to lose its leaves.
Here are just a few of the hundreds of temples tucked away between markets and commercial streets in Bengaluru.

Looking forward to a week of R&R in VT.

This bunny is almost as hard to find as Waldo. Found while walking Mario in the woods near our house.

Oh how I wish for some Florida weather, as I experienced last week on a quick business trip:

Some people can make themselves comfortable anywhere, even in the check-out line at Trader Joe’s.

Spotted these two forest denizens on a recent walk though the morning mist.
