Certainly in Bangalore, where traffic is famously congested.

Took my team to the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden for some creative inspiration – glad we picked a 60-degree winter day!
Last night it snowed lightly and I captured these images before the snow melted.

Loved coming across this little pond with a small dock and bench to relax on.
Scenes of Fishtown (Philadelphia). These two had a vigorous conversation as I walked by:

After visiting the Reading Terminal in Philadelphia you’ll never look at that Monopoly chance card the same way again. The train station has been converted into a market for regional foods many years ago, and I enjoyed a couple of lunches (cheese steak!!) there this past week while attending a conference at the convention center next door.
Found on quiet street in DC neighborhood while walking to work — a vintage Indian motorcycle.
Stopping at South of the Border (between N. Carolina and S. Carolina on I-95) is like a trip back in time. This giant truck stop is definitely a 50’s throwback! Click on any pic to see them all in slideshow format. I especially liked the restaurant shaped like a sombrero.
Found while walking around the neighborhood, shot using the new Hipstamatic Bucktown pack (black&white and infrared). Click on any pic to see them in slideshow format.
Walking the dog at the same early, but now darker, time (6:30), and during a recent snowfall, provided new perspectives:

A beer and a nap on the train home from New York is something I see quite often.
A visit to the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix provides some great opportunities for black&white shots. Click on any pic to view them in full-screen slide show format.

Playing around with the double exposure setting of the Hipstamatic app on my iPhone, I composed this picture of our dog and the fall trees:
Someone is enjoying the calm of sunset to do a little fishing in our neighborhood.

This bench, in the evening light, looked like a perfect spot to relax and contemplate the good life. The B&W pic was taken with Hipstamatic, the color was edited with Snapseed.
…you saw someone using a pay phone? It’s been a while for me, so it struck me as worthy of a quick snapshot.
This boat drifted out of the shipping lane into our local harbor, and got stranded. It laid there for several hours before the tide was high enough again for it to straighten out and continue its journey.

All three were shot indoors with  spring sunlight (finally!) streaming through the windows.

A quick business trip to Washington DC provided only a few occasions for snapshots while walking past the Capitol:

This ride from Washington, DC to New Haven, CT on Amtrak will leave you thinking that all of America consists of refineries, construction sites, abandoned factories, parking lots and water towers. Nevertheless, I was fascinated by what whizzed by my window. Click on any picture to view in slide show format.
