I don’t think so. Looks like the comfort of women’s shoes hasn’t changed in over a century. Captured in a store window in Virginia City, MT:

Captured this Air Force veteran at a motorcycle rally in Ennis, Montana this past weekend. Loved his jacket. And had a nice chat with him and his wife.

Eclipse reactions 2 comments
Captured these scenes in Rexburg, Idaho moments before the total eclipse (Aug 21, 2017). These reactions paled in comparison to the reactions during totality, but I was too busy enjoying that moment to take pictures.

Squabs Leaving the Nest Leave a comment
Here are later pictures of the two squabs that were raised this Spring in our backyard, on top of our outdoor speaker. Based on the hair on their heads, I called them Scruffy and Baldy.
This is Scruffy after having left the nest, finding its bearings in our backyard:
Baldy had already claimed the top of the fence as his perch:
While mom was supervising their progress from the top of a nearby shed:

Dove and Squabs Leave a comment
This dove decided that our outdoor speakers would make a great nesting place and she proceeded, over the course of 2 months, to raise 2 squabs (the true name for baby doves, or chicks) there. Here is the first of two posts chronicling that journey. Click on any image to see them in slideshow format:

Abandoned Amusement Park Leave a comment
Captured at South of the Border truck stop. Sad that these rides were decommissioned, I’m sure at some point kids LOVED to stop here to enjoy the rides while parents got a break from the incessant ‘are we there yet?’ from the backseat. Click on any pic to see them in their full glory (i.e. slideshow format).
South of the Border 1 comment
Stopping at South of the Border (between N. Carolina and S. Carolina on I-95) is like a trip back in time. This giant truck stop is definitely a 50’s throwback! Click on any pic to see them all in slideshow format. I especially liked the restaurant shaped like a sombrero.

Squint a little and see how the shadows turn into stairs (or maybe you see something entirely different?). I enjoyed the angles and the play of light and shadows on a recent walk through New York.
