Walk on the High Line   4 comments

A late afternoon along the High Line in New York yielded some nice photo opportunities. The High Line is a 1-mile New York City linear park built on a 1.45-mile section of the former elevated New York Central Railroad spur called the West Side Line.

All photographs taken with Canon Powershot G12, various exposures combined.

  1. Very cool. I read an article about the high line in an issue of Outside magazine. Did an interview with the guy behind the concept and the process of pushing it through the city legislature. First time I’ve seen non-magazine pictures of it… though that first one could totally have been the cover picture of the article. We should walk it!

  3. Hi Lutz. I like your pictures and thank you for taking me back to NYC in memory – walking the High Line. How can I get in touch with you on a very specific question on the first picture in the “Walk on the High Line” series? Many thanks for your response.
